Transient / Accident Scenarios (SEE-THRU Reactor)
The Millstone Nuclear Training Department is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for the Engineering Support organization, "Transient/Accident Scenarios" using the SEE-THRU Reactor.
Many people who have been through a class involving the SEE-THRU Reactor expressed an interest in transient/accident scenarios using the SEE-THRU Reactor. What we are offering is the transient/accident portion of the newly revised Integrated Plant Operations course. The class would last for 8 hours. Half of that time would be a class room session learning and reviewing various transient/accident scenarios using plant schematics, FSAR handouts and group discussion.
The second half of the course would involve using the SEE-THRU Reactor to show various transients/accidents scenarios. We will cover Natural Circulation, Small Line Break Loss of Coolant, Steam Line Break, U-Tube Rupture, and the TMI accident.
Class material can be viewed/downloaded here.
This training could be considered as WGST!
Please let us know if you would be interested in scheduling this course for your group. The class size is limited to 8 people and it will take 8 hours.
